If you have questions or concerns about a child, you can contact our family resource navigators. We’ll help you figure out what’s needed, connect you with resources, and get you pointed in the right direction.

When should you contact the SEAS Program?

You can contact SEAS for support around connecting with intervention programs, therapy services, school programs, mental and behavioral healthcare, and basic needs. Our Family Resource Navigators are experts in local programs and services, and will assist you in getting the support you want and need.

Family resource navigators can support you by:

  • Assisting you in finding options for mental and behavioral healthcare

  • Supporting you in finding other supportive resources, such as social connection groups and guidance towards basic needs supports

  • Enrolling children ages 0-3 with concerns about developmental delays into our local early intervention program, Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT)

  • Offering resources to support children with disabilities

  • Providing guidance for getting Individualized Education Program (IEP) evaluations with your local school district

  • Giving information about childcare services

Resource navigators cannot:

  • Evaluate or diagnose children

  • Provide therapy

  • Make medical recommendations

  • Provide case management

  • Complete forms for families

  • Help families obtain an aid for a child in childcare

After you contact SEAS, Family Resource Navigators will:

  1. Call you back

  2. Ask and listen about the concerns you have for your children

  3. Provide information about resources and make program referrals

  4. Follow up to see if you were able to connect to the suggested resources

Please note that families themselves must contact SEAS. Referrals are not accepted from friends or non-guardian members of the family, only from healthcare, social service, and childcare providers.
