If you work with children and families, the SEAS Program can help connect them to services and supports. Our Family Resource Navigators follow up directly with families to provide personalized guidance and referrals.
Childcare Providers
WHEN TO REFER:
Refer any family who could use help connecting with:
Early intervention or therapy programs
School support or IEP evaluations
Mental or behavioral health services
Childcare resources or basic needs
How SEAS helps:
Connects children ages 0–3 to Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT)
Guides families through IEP evaluation steps
Links to local therapy providers and mental health options
Shares resources for children with disabilities
What SEAS doesn’t do:
Evaluate or diagnose children, provide therapy, make medical recommendations, fill out forms, or provide case management.
Healthcare & Medical Providers
WHEN TO REFER:
Refer families who may benefit from developmental or behavioral support, therapy, or family resources.
How SEAS helps:
Facilitates ESIT referrals (ages 0–3)
Supports GIDES/autism evaluation referrals
Connects to speech, occupational, and physical therapies
Guides families toward IEP evaluations and school supports
Shares early childhood and disability resources
What SEAS doesn’t do:
Evaluate or diagnose children, provide therapy, make medical recommendations, provide case management, or complete forms.
Schools & School Staff
WHEN TO REFER:
Refer when families need help navigating early intervention, therapies, mental health, or community supports.
How SEAS helps:
Accepts Child Find referrals for ESIT (ages 0–3)
Provides information about therapy waitlists
Connects families with mental and behavioral health services
Shares disability and basic needs resources
What SEAS doesn’t do:
Evaluate or diagnose children, provide therapy, make medical recommendations, provide case management, or fill out forms.
Social Service Providers
WHEN TO REFER:
Refer families needing help with early intervention and support, therapy, school programs, behavioral health, or basic needs.
How SEAS helps:
Enrolls children ages 0–3 into ESIT services
Supports families with IEP evaluations and therapy referrals
Assists with GIDES/autism evaluation process (with medical referral)
Connects families to mental health and disability resources
Shares local supports for social connection and basic needs
What SEAS doesn’t do:
Evaluate or diagnose children, make medical recommendations, provide case management, complete forms, or assist with childcare aides.
